The New York Civil Liberties Union has eight offices across New York. In the courtroom and on the streets, from the farmhouses upstate to the five boroughs of New York City and Albany’s capitol steps in between, the NYCLU is leading freedom forward and fighting for the rights of all New Yorkers – rich or poor, straight or gay, black or white, urban or rural, pious or atheist, American-born or foreign-born, able-bodied or living with a disability.
The Capital Region Chapter serves as the local presence of the NYCLU in the counties of Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren, and Washington.
The Central New York Chapter is the local presence of the NYCLU in Onondaga, Madison, Oneida, Seneca, Oswego, Cortland, and Cayuga counties.
The Lower Hudson Valley Chapter is the local presence of the NYCLU in the counties of Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland, Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster.
The NYCLU’s Nassau Chapter is the local presence of the organization in Nassau County, Long Island.
The NYCLU’s central office is located in New York City. In addition to pursuing statewide work, this office wages local battles for civil liberties in the NYC area and in upstate regions without regional offices.
The Genesee Valley Chapter is the local presence of the NYCLU in Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Steuben, Wayne, Wyoming and Yates counties.
The Suffolk Chapter is the local presence of the organization in Suffolk County, Long Island.
The Western Regional Office is the local presence of the NYCLU in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, and Niagara counties.
